Arts and crafts

When Mike and Sue moved to Yorkshire at the beginning of 2009 they soon realised where their future lay. They had fallen in love with Rosedale Abbey and, after spending four months renovating the premises, they opened Graze on the Green for business and haven’t looked back since.

Graze on the Green is actually three enterprises in one: a village shop, a tearoom and a gallery exhibiting the work of local artists. The shop stocks everything from groceries and wines to a superb range of cheeses, meats, chutneys and preserves. In addition, fresh, home baked pies, pastries and cakes are available and, with the introduction of local art and hand made gifts and cards, Graze on the Green offers more than you would expect. The high quality of produce continues into the tearoom where fresh food is made and prepared daily in their own kitchens using the finest ingredients, obtained locally wherever possible. They also serve probably the best coffee in Rosedale!

Locals and visitors to the area all love Graze on the Green which is open every day (8.30 – 5.30) in the summer months, 9 – 5 Tuesday to Sunday out of season, closed January.
